How does this deal look?

Ask them to take off the wheel locks and first aid kits—both of those are removable and shouldn’t be forced charges. The City Care stuff is probably useless. I’m not sure what the IKON connected car feature is, but it’s likely junk or something you already get with Kia Connect. Tell them to remove all that extra stuff, then work on negotiating the car’s price. If you can’t find it cheaper elsewhere and are okay with the price, go ahead and buy it.

Just adding to my earlier comment. Their website shows much lower prices than what’s on that sticker:

https://www.citykia.com/inventory/new-2024-kia-ev6-wind-rwd-4d-sport-utility-kndc34la8r5217408/

This feels like they’re inflating the price a lot.

@Masitsa
I seriously hate how dealerships work… 41k compared to almost 60k is ridiculous.

Honestly, I respect the boldness of trying to overcharge that much.

@Masitsa
Thanks for the advice! Really appreciate it.

Start negotiating at MSRP and work your way down. These add-ons are just profit for the dealer.

@Masitsa
At 41k, it’s reasonable. But 60k for a Wind trim is just crazy.

Paying $500 for wheel locks is over the top. You can find a decent set for way less anywhere else.

Exactly. My 2022 EV6 had factory wheel locks priced at $60 on the label. That $499 in the picture includes the first aid kit, but no way it’s worth the extra $439. What are those locks made of, diamonds?

@Lilyharper
It’s probably just basic first aid stuff like bandaids and antiseptic. You can get a really good first aid kit for $20-25 online. And let’s be honest, most people wouldn’t know how to use anything more advanced in an emergency.

@KiaConvoJake
Most likely it’s some bulk-purchased kit the dealer marks up. My 2018 Kia came with a first aid kit at no extra cost—it was listed as ‘Included’ on the label instead of as an overpriced add-on.

Thanks for your input! Much appreciated.

All of this is overpriced. Never accept dealer add-ons. If they insist, find a different dealership.

I’d never pay for those add-ons. Kia Connect already includes stolen car tracking for $200 a year.

That City Care package is not worth paying for. None of it is necessary.

I agree about removing the wheel locks. I just got a 2025 Kia K5 GT Line. My friend owns a detail shop and gave me a three-year ceramic coat for $400. You can save so much by going outside the dealership for stuff like this. Also, Kia Connect premium is free for three years on the new 2025 models.

IKON is pretty useless, especially if you understand your car and drive responsibly. If you’re worried about theft, just get some air tags—they’re much cheaper.

2024 EV6 RWD Trim: Wind

Honestly, this feels like a rip-off. I’d go for a used EV and take advantage of the tax credits.
