I’m thinking about going on vacation with my Telluride, but I have 2 twin babies and a toddler. The stroller fits in the trunk, but there’s no room for luggage. Would a roof rack help?
If you have a trailer hitch, a hitch-mounted cargo carrier could be a better choice. It’s easy to load/unload, doesn’t affect MPG much, and is simple to install/uninstall.
I’ve driven coast to coast twice with 2 toddlers and a dog. A roof storage container worked perfectly for us .

Try putting the larger half of the third row down. This will give you extra space while keeping the stroller in the trunk for easy access.

This is what we do too.
With a baby, we had bulky items like a pack-n-play, stroller, and high chairs. If the stroller is your only bulky item, there are other spaces to store stuff. The footwell where the baby seats go works well for extra things. You could also put a duffel bag between the two front chairs. Just make sure a hitch storage rack lets you open the trunk easily.
We used roof rails and a cargo box for our road trips. I also folded down the smaller side of the third row for trunk space. If you have a trailer hitch, you can get a hitch-mounted cargo carrier too.

The roof rails and box do add some wind noise and reduce MPG by about 1/2. Rear carriers are nice but make parking and accessing the trunk harder. Be careful with how close they get to the tailpipe.
Roof storage is a good option when there’s no more space inside. You could also look into a trailer hitch storage rack or even a small trailer.
We went on a 6-day camping trip to Big Bend with a 6-year-old and a 4-year-old. A roof rack worked really well for us .

A roof rack or hitch mount storage would help with extra storage. I’m curious how large the stroller is that you’re struggling to fit everything in.

Well, with the third seat up and a stroller in the trunk, there’s not much room left. You can fold one side of the third row depending on where the child sits, but yeah, strollers these days take up a lot of space.

It’s a double stroller for the twins. When it’s in the trunk, there’s no space left for anything else.
@pepelar
I get it with the double stroller. I’ve had a hitch-mounted storage for years. It’s great for loading and still allows access to the back.
I got a cargo box, and it solved the space problem for me.
I added a Thule Roof Box for extra storage on a cross-country trip. If you choose this, I recommend adding running boards or a step stool to easily reach the roof box.
We drove for 12 hours both ways with 2 teenagers, 3 dogs, and 3 luggages. No issues at all.
Do you have captain’s seats in the middle row? Depending on where they sit, you might be able to remove a middle seat and get some extra space.
