Headlights not working, but high beams are fine... any ideas?

Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my 2021 Kia Forte. Both headlights are out, but the high beams work fine. I already replaced the bulbs, but that didn’t fix the problem. Could it be a fuse, wiring issue, or something else? Any suggestions on what to check next?

It could be a fuse. Check your owner’s manual to find the fuse box and look for the one labeled for the headlights.

Thanks! I’ll check the fuses and see if that’s the issue.

Sometimes it’s a wiring issue, especially if the fuse is intact. Check for any loose or damaged wires around the headlight assembly.

Good point. I’ll take a look at the wiring if the fuses are fine. Thanks!

You might need a scan tool to check if the headlight switch is sending the correct signal to the computer. It’s worth trying if nothing else works.

That’s a good idea. I’ll consider that if I can’t find anything obvious. Thanks for the suggestion!

I had a similar issue, and it turned out to be the headlight relay. Try swapping it with a similar relay from another circuit to see if it works.

Interesting! I’ll give that a try. Thanks for the tip!

If none of these work, it might be a grounding issue. A bad ground can cause headlights to fail while other lights work.

I’ll check the grounding connections too. Thanks for the advice!
