Did your nerves make this happen?

Nope, just a random rock on the freeway

I think they just mean you’re extra careful with the car since it’s new. Makes sense, I’d feel the same way.

Well, the crack looks deep enough to worry about.
@Gerald
I was talking about the anxiety, not the crack lol
Get it fixed fast before it turns into a bigger headache.

Think this is a small patch job or full replacement? Someone said since it has a HUD, it might be $1500.

Not an expert, but I’ve had small cracks fixed with a patch. Insurance covered it where I live. Yours looks bigger though, so I’d check with a repair shop ASAP.

Probably the whole glass. If you have comprehensive insurance, your deductible is all you’d need to pay.
@Isaac
If it’s in the corner like that, a patch won’t work.
Happens to everyone… every car I’ve had got a cracked windshield in the first year.

Same here, last two cars both got hit early on.
Since you have a HUD, you’ll need OEM glass. Third-party ones mess up the reflection, even if they say they’re HUD-compatible.

Would one of those aftermarket HUD films fix the reflection issue? Might look weird from outside, but could work.
@zack
Honestly, I’m not even sure the HUD is that useful. It doesn’t show directions because I don’t use built-in navigation, and I’ve only had the car for four days. I was still messing with the settings when this happened.

How much extra is OEM? If it’s too pricey, I might just skip the HUD. It’s already kinda blurry unless I close one eye.
@Yoon
Did you try adjusting the HUD in the car settings? Mine was blurry until I tweaked it.
@Yoon
OEM HUD windshields run anywhere from $1,500 to $3,000. Pricey, but probably worth it.
