Feeling Upset About Car Depreciation: Anyone Else in the Same Situation?

Good evening…

I’m feeling pretty frustrated right now. I got my Niro back in 2022 when the car market was a mess, and now I’m regretting it. My car is worth about half of what I owe on it, and when I went to the Hyundai dealership, they said the only way out is to pay over $1,000 a month. It really sucks seeing how much my car’s value has dropped.
If you bought a car in 2022, are you in the same boat? How are you handling it? Any advice or similar stories would be super helpful. :smiling_face_with_tear:

Your help will be appreciated greatly…

:smile:Absolutely, many people are frustrated by car depreciation. It’s a normal and understandable reaction. Cars are a big investment, and watching their value drop over time can be really disheartening.

Depreciation is just a fact of owning a car, much like how electronics and other assets lose value over time.

While depreciation is a downside, :expressionless: owning a car provides convenience, transportation, and other benefits that can outweigh the financial loss.

There are ways to slow down :innocent:depreciation, like keeping your car well-maintained, limiting mileage, and avoiding accidents.
