I got my car about 5 weeks ago and I could turn on the seat heating through the app. A few days later, the option just vanished. Makes no sense to me. My 2022 Sorento Hybrid still has it on the same app. I have a GT-LINE AWD 2024.
In the US, at least, heated seats were never part of the app. Only the heated steering wheel shows up.

Are you talking about the EV6? Because my 2022 Sorento definitely has it, using the same app.
@joannaumann
Yep, EV6 has never had heated seats in the app. Just climate controls and heated steering wheel.

That’s just dumb. I can’t believe they’d take that out. I upgraded from a 2022 hybrid to a 2024 electric, and I lost a useful feature. It’s freezing where I live, so it’s really annoying.
@joannaumann
Yeah, I get it. I guess they thought the seat heaters warm up fast enough that it wasn’t necessary. Not sure, though.

Fine, KIA, take the remote seat heating away. But at least give us an option for manual battery preconditioning! Even just a toggle in the settings would be nice.
@joannaumann
I know it’s a bit annoying, but other than that, the car’s great. I’ve had mine since 2023 and still really enjoy it, just a few small issues with the electronics.

Yeah, it’s definitely still a great car. Loving every drive.
@joannaumann
The 2025 EV6 has that feature, just so you know.
@joannaumann
It’s available on the GT model, so it’s clearly just a software thing. They could totally enable it if they wanted to.

Yeah, but it only works when the battery is above 70%. Kind of useless when you just want to charge up.
@joannaumann
The seats warm up in like 2 minutes anyway. Plus, if you preheat the car with the app, the seats aren’t really that big of a deal.

Nah, I disagree. My old car let me preheat the seats remotely, and sitting on a warm seat in the cold was amazing.
@snoop
I guess it depends where you live. It doesn’t really get colder than -5°C where I am, and even that’s rare.

I don’t even have a heated steering wheel, but the app still shows it as an option. It’s just mocking me.
@JenifaLopes
Have you tried putting the steering wheel in the oven at 250°? Might do the trick.
@joannaumann
Oh, and yeah, I’m in the US.
@joannaumann
It’s never been an option for the EV6 in the US, as far as I know.
Just checked mine. Never had heated seats either, just the steering wheel, windows, and mirrors. I’m in Denmark.
