I’ve been having trouble getting a replacement part for my 2025 Kia K4. Thankfully, it’s just an exterior trim piece that broke. First, I was told it would take anywhere from 1 to 6 months to order the part, and they couldn’t even process the order until they had received payment. I called to pay, but they told me they don’t have a price list for the part yet and can’t bill me without one. Apparently, it could take months for the price list to be ready, and then several more months to get the part from Korea. So, if your 2025 Kia gets damaged and is undrivable, expect to be without it for 6 months to a year. If I had known this before I bought it, I would have looked into another manufacturer. Just a heads-up for anyone else buying a 2025 Kia.
This isn’t just a Kia issue, but one with many manufacturers.
This happens with most car brands. Parts that are visual, like interior trim, tend to be the lowest priority. Factories focus on producing essential parts first.

When it comes to new cars, parts can be really hard to find because manufacturers prioritize making the parts for new vehicles.
This isn’t a Kia problem. It’s a new car problem. If you get a brand new vehicle, especially a recent release, this can happen with any manufacturer.
Why isn’t this covered by warranty? Just curious.

It’s because someone hit my driver’s side mirror and broke it. Even if it were under warranty, I’d still be looking at a 6-month to a year wait for the part.
@Vince
I’ve had similar issues with a 25 Camry. I’m not sure about the 6-month wait, though.
@Vince
Have you tried https://www.kia.parts/ ? They’re one of the top sites for Kia parts.
@Vince
Can’t you just drive without a factory mirror? I’ve used aftermarket mirrors before.
I had the same issue with my Honda Ridgeline. My body shop had to wait 4 months for a part to come in. I had hail damage in late August, and didn’t get my truck back until April the next year.
These are just first-world problems. The car’s brand new, man.
I had a similar issue years ago with a first-year Mazda 3. No auto parts store had oil filters for it. The clutch failed, and it took three months for the dealership to get a replacement. Then the AC compressor went out, and the same delay happened. First-year models often come with these types of issues.
This happens with any new model year. It always takes a year or two for parts to become widely available, even for aftermarket parts.
Yeah, this happens with all manufacturers for the first model year of a vehicle (facelifts are usually an exception). The K4 is a brand-new model for 2025, so that’s why it’s so hard to get parts right now.
It took a full year to get replacement fuel pump parts from Honda for the wife’s Pilot. For a long time, there was a Christmas tree of warning lights on the dashboard, plus cylinder misfires. After fixing it, it fouled an O2 sensor. Auto manufacturers are really bad with these delays. This was for a 2018 vehicle fixed in 2024, with the issue starting in 2023.
Have you tried looking for the part at a local salvage yard? I know it’s a new platform, but you might get lucky.

I’ve tried that, but I’ll keep looking.

Hope you find it soon.
@Gordon
Thanks, I really hope so. It drives me crazy every time I look at the mirror
